Experience
A composite SAT score of 2020 with an SAT subject score of 720 in US History. I am working towards becoming a social studies teacher in secondary education (i.e. High School), so a majority of classes I have taken or will be taking include various social studies subjects including history, psychology, sociology, and political science, as well as teaching courses. My role models have always been my teachers, inspiring me to pursue that same role. They knew how to motivate and how to teach every concept in multiple ways for universal learning, which are qualities I hope to emulate and have been learning throughout my college career. Starting in February of 2015 I worked as a part time associate at Panera Bread and was promoted to Associate Trainer after only a few short months.

Hobbies
Though my passions are wide and varied, my main passion of teaching wasn't discovered until college. I originally applied to school for political science, and while that subject is fascinating and interesting - it was not a field I wanted to work in. I considered history, nursing and even graphic design before realizing that my love of all things social studies could be expressed in a single career: as a teacher. Throughout high school I was an active volleyball player, before making captain my senior year. In college I have been continuing that passion through intramural volleyball. My coach was also my Comparative Government teacher, and is my primary motivation for studying teaching today. I absolutely love animals, having grown up with horses, dogs, cats and even a turtle. Dogs are the best pet, of course.
