Education

Senior at Ohio University as a Physics major with a math minor. I have a 3.5 GPA in Physics and Math classes. Furthermore, I have made sure that I have taken many different classes in English, social sciences, and the arts. While I am primarily a physics student, my knowledge by no means ends there, as I am a wikipedia addict and just like to read about new things that pique my interest.

Experience

I have never tutored before, outside of just helping some friends out with physics and math. I want to be a tutor because I think I can help people, and honestly, I need a job. I have taken Thermophysics, Engineering Thermodynamics, Physics 1, 2, and Modern Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism 1, Engineering Materials, Circuitry Lab, Electrons and Photons Lab, Calc 3, Differential equations, Matlab, Intro to C++ 1 and 2, AP Computer science (scored a 3). Additionally, I took AP Chemistry (Scored a 4), AP Physics (scored a 5), and taught myself Calculus 1 and 2 in high school and passed both the AP Calc AB (scored a 4) and BC (scored a 3) tests. I am now much more well versed in calculus than I was back in high school, however. I also received a scholarship for Debate in college, as well as placing in top 5 at the National Public Forum Debate tournament. I don't participate anymore because my work load has grown and don't have time for debate.

Hobbies

I love the outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, and especially surfing are some of my favorite hobbies. Other than that I like to hang out with my friends. I also like to play poker, as a math guy it interests me, and the social aspect is always fun. I'm not much of a gambler though. Other than that, I follow politics, and I love to watch good television and read a good book now and again. Finally, I love listening to music. I don't think there is much better than seeing live music, and if given the opportunity, I will almost always opt to see a live band, generally regardless of genre.
