Experience

I grew up in a family full of teachers, which inspired me to become an educator, too. Throughout my college career, I worked as a tutor. While tutoring, I was able to help students prepare for their futures. At the same time, I was becoming a better listener and teacher. I believe that each student learns in a unique and different way, so I try to find a way to help each student feel comfortable and safe. By gently pushing them to make personal connections with the material, a student can grasp the material easier. I believe it is important to learn a set of skills in order to succeed in the future. I am comfortable teaching a variety of subjects, including Math (Elementary Math up to Calculus), English, Reading, Science, associated AP- and IB-level classes, and standardized test prep for the PSAT and SAT.Outside of the classroom, I like cooking, listening to music, and practicing mindfulness.
