Experience
Currently, I am a physics Ph.D. candidate at Pennsylvania State University. For the last six years, I have been working at the university as a teaching assistant, where I have taught all subjects in physics, including electricity, magnetism and thermal physics, and concepts in mechanics (acceleration, energy, force, position, velocity). In addition, I have been an instructor in physics where it was my responsibility to design assessments and lectures for the courses in calculus and algebra that were related physics courses.I love to teach because of the creativity involved in developing different methods of teaching to explain the concepts to all types of learners. I feel that my work as a physics teacher has given me the ability to quickly discover the concept that a student is struggling with and to find effective teaching methods to help them overcome their struggle. My favorite subjects are physics and math because I enjoy the process of solving a problem and teaching others how to break a complex problem into small pieces that are easier to understand. Since math is the foundation of the physics language, I am a knowledgeable tutor for algebra and calculus as well.In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and walking my dog.
