Experience

I have taught exceptional children in one-to-one and small group instruction in a home and school settings. I develop plans based on the students specific learning needs. I have taken classes directly in developing lesson plans based on students needs, reading comprehension, and math concepts. I am currently finishing my internships at a Howard County Middle School and co-teaching math, language arts, and reading comprehension classes. I make learning fun and interesting based on what motivates the child. I enjoy using all different types of materials that may include videos, powerpoint slides, and depending on the lesson computer games that directly relate to the subject. I enjoy working with children and helping them through a subject they may not understand in school. Some children fall behind in their classes making it difficult for them to develop all the concepts for the next lesson to be taught. I will be there to make sure they are confident in their academics and are able to keep up with their class. I hope to challenge your child beyond what you may have thought all while making it fun and exciting. To be a tutor or teacher is just another way I can share my gifts with children in need of something beyond the classroom.
