I'm from Fulton, Maryland. I hold a bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland. At present, I am in my final year at Johns Hopkins University, where I am enrolled in the medical school. After graduation, I intend to pursue a residency in ophthalmology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I have worked as a teacher in different types of jobs while an undergraduate and while attending medical school. The positions I held included working as a private tutor with both elementary and high school students, as well as college-level learners who were looking for help with organic chemistry. I've worked also as a teaching assistant in the organic chemistry laboratory during my undergrad years, and I've taught English while in Hong Kong. Even though I tutor students in a number of subjects, I'm particularly drawn to and interested in the sciences. They form the building blocks to the world around us, and I want to share my deep appreciation for this subject to the pupils I work with. I'm available to students who need help in subjects such as Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, SAT (math, verbal, and writing), Genetics, Molecular Genetics, and more. When I'm not going to school or tutoring, I like to play basketball. Cooking is admittedly one of my passions, as is checking out new places to eat in my neighborhood. I also enjoy reading.
