I excel at teaching the sciences. I am available to tutor students in algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, middle school math, trigonometry, anatomy, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, physical chemistry, physics, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, analytical chemistry, and a multitude of other science and math subjects. I can also help students prepare for the math and science portions of their standardized exams. I earned my degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University. While I was an undergraduate student I had the privilege of working as a teaching assistant for the chemistry department at my university. As a teaching assistant I mainly focused on helping students with organic chemistry. I also have experience tutoring students preparing for medical or pharmacy school. As a tutor I work to determine the unique ways that a student learns. I then tailor my teaching approach to the needs of the student. So many schools focus only on their students being prepared for tests, and not on students having a deep understanding of the subject material. I work with my students to develop these deeper understandings. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy working on my car, going for runs, and swimming.
