I am a Chinese (Mandarin) and math tutor. As a native Chinese speaker, I'm eager to work in a capacity where I can use my language skills. I enjoyed teaching foreigner friends Chinese when I attended college in China. It was a fun cultural exchange using conversational language skills. I have a fun personality, which makes me a great tutor. I'm naturally patient and cheerful, and enjoy working with people. I completed a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Due to a strong educational background, I was awarded a position at a leading hedge fund firm; however, I realized after a time that my true passion is to connect with people through teaching. I have great communication, time management, and organization skills. I tutor Mandarin Chinese up to level 4. I also tutor AP Chinese language and culture, and math (algebra 1 and 2, calculus 1 and 2, geometry, multivariable calculus, elementary math, and middle school math). I enjoy travel and have visited many places in the United States, including New York, Utah, Florida, Las Vegas, California, and Niagara Falls. I am excited to explore more in the future! I also enjoy cooking, shopping, movies, and spending time with my family and friends.
