Experience
I tutor as a paid employee of the Learning Assistance Center at Howard Community College. There I tutor English, Sociology, Psychology, Music History, History, Geography, and other Social Science courses. While working at the LAC, I had to adapt to the high amount of new English language speakers that were assigned to me. I became successful at this, and taught myself how to help others absorb information that may be difficult, or completely foreign to them. I wish to be a tutor once again because I want to put my knowledge to good use. I know that I can (and have in the past) helped both clients and friends achieve success in school, and understand the information they are tasked with learning.
