Celestina T.
Private tutor in Columbia, MD
Education
I am a third-year undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Earth and Planetary Sciences. I am exploring research opportunities in the biological sciences pertaining to microbiology and biochemistry, and hope to one day obtain a Ph.D and be involved in research projects.
Experience
Being a tutor is an extremely rewarding experience that I have greatly enjoyed in past years. Throughout high school, I was involved in a peer tutoring program. In sophomore year of college, I was an SAT tutor for a semester, and now I am tutoring with the Learning Assistance Center at Howard Community College. My highest SAT and ACT composite scores were 1460 and 34, respectively. I have taken chemistry, physics, genetics, sociology, statistics, Spanish, and other classes.

Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy playing piano and ukulele, as well as reading books and going on hikes and kayaking. I love to bake and travel. Most of all, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and making everyday an adventure. I can be a bit quiet at first, but it doesn't take long to get me talking. I love to learn, whether that's from reading books and articles or from going down a YouTube video spiral.
