I've always had a lifelong passion for reading and learning new things. Literature has always been my specialty, which is why I chose to receive my bachelor's and master's degree in English. Along with spending a total of seven years in college at the undergraduate and graduate level, I also received three years of graduate training that has helped me sharpen my study habits and organizational skills, as well as improve my standardized test-taking abilities. I believe that education should be about more than just preparing for tests and assignments, which is why I go the extra step to help my students succeed. I don't want them to just memorize the material; I also want them to know how to apply it practically so that they're able to see just how their schooling enriches their lives. My extensive educational background has given me the resources and expertise needed to help students improve abilities to write essays, speak publicly, and prepare for standardized exams. I also love helping people learn more about English literature and creative writing. When I am not reading and working as a teacher, I like to spend my time cooking and baking, in addition to exercising and dancing. My most recent hobbies are Zumba and yoga.
